The History Behind Direct Skate Shop...
Direct Skate Shop is a family owned business that started in May, 1998 out of a growing need by skateboarders in the Alpena Michigan area to have a place to find what they want, when they want and not have to spend an arm and a leg to get it. Our son had been skateboarding for over six years. Before we opened for business, he and other skaters complained about having to order from catalogs and frequently learning that what they wanted was out of stock and they would have to back order items they wanted now. And what if you just needed some hardware or a kingpin? Combine that with having to wait a week or more and pay shipping charges on top of that, well you know what I mean! At Direct Skate Shop, our prices are the same or less than those other guys and if we don't have it, we can probably get it! We have always felt that you deserve a break and if we get a special price on an item, we pass it along to you! 

If you haven't visited us lately, you are missing a lot. We are always adding new products. If you see something new, we probably have it or can get it. We plan to continue to have a lot of new surprises for you to make your shopping experience unique.
